Why We’re Fundraising
Running a farmers market takes far more than what happens on market day. Behind the scenes are essential operational costs that keep the Market safe, accessible, and welcoming to everyone.

This season, the Market is facing one-time transition expenses, including:
  • Relocating from the field to the La Salette overflow parking lot
  • Increased marketing and outreach to ensure the community knows that the 2026 AFM Market is still at La Sallette (but in a different location) and where to find us
Your support will help cover these necessary costs without reducing the charitable donations the Market proudly provides to local Attleboro organizations and causes.  Every dollar raised directly supports a market that reinvests back into the community it serves.

Looking Ahead: Expanding Our Community Impact
Any additional funds raised will help launch the broader Attleboro Community Market Initiative, designed to expand access to local food and goods while supporting small businesses year-round. This vision includes:
  • A year-round, in-person market at Our Lady of La Salette
  • A retail storefront featuring local vendors, incubator space for small businesses, and community events—creating accessible, all-season shopping right here in Attleboro
  • An online marketplace that extends vendor reach beyond market day, with future features such as pre-ordering, buy-online-pick-up-at-market, and buy-online-pick-up-in-store
Funds will support marketing efforts (promotional materials, advertising, and community events) as well as start-up operations for the retail store and e-commerce platform.

Join Us
This is a bold vision—but it is one rooted in community, collaboration, and local pride. By donating or sharing this campaign, you are directly supporting the Attleboro Farmers Market today while helping build a stronger, more resilient local economy for tomorrow.

Together, we can ensure that the Attleboro Farmers Market and its parent organization, Attleboro Community Market, will be where neighbors gather, small businesses grow, and our community thrives.

Q&A

What will the money be used for?

  • Capital expenditures needed to operate on the parking lot rather than the field (e.g., new signage, spot markers, etc.)

  • Advertising to ensure the local and regional community is aware of the new location

  • Events celebrating the market’s 15th anniversary

  • Supporting the larger vision of an ongoing Community Market

What is the Community Market, and how is it related?

We believe that those who love the Attleboro Farmers Market and enjoy supporting its local small business community should be able to do so year-round. The Attleboro Community Market will focus on:

  • Providing vendors and customers with a year-round, in-person market opportunity

  • Providing a physical retail space as a sales channel, a place for new businesses to test products, and a meeting/event space

  • Developing an online sales channel. We have already begun developing a commerce site that will allow not only local customers but also national shoppers to purchase products from Attleboro small businesses.

Will this take focus away from AFM operations?

No. There is an entire team solely dedicated to AFM operations, with a vision to make this the best year yet. The Community Market is a longer-term project being led by a subcommittee.
